About this blog
Are you a generally constructive person?
Do you do your best to leave the world in a better state than you found?
Do you strive to be a desireable player in your community and society overall?
If you do, this blog is for you! π
I have been interested in these topics for over 20 years and found that this attitude brought passion, joy and wealth into my life.
This blog collects my ongoing findings.
About me
Hi, my name is Michele π
I am in my 30s, was born in the Italian Alps, and lived in a few other countries before landing in beautiful Switzerlandπ¨π
I am professionally engaged as an engineering manager and consultant.
Who should read this?
You’re most likely to find this blog interesting if you are:
- A rational, fact-oriented mind – else my avalanche of data might disturb you π
- Engaged in improving yourself and the world around you.
- Open to occasional unpopular opinions when they are based on factual truth.
Goals of this blog
Why spend so long writing this content?
There are a lot of constructive people out there, but movies and other “false role models” may confuse some into thinking that you better be selfish and mean if you want to be successful.
I hope my content inspires those people to keep their attitude instead, and:
- Be kind.
- Get joy from being of help to others.
- Be more understanding and less judgemental.
Commitments to the reader
This blog comes with the following commitments to the reader:
- No promoted content unless designated.
- No contributed content unless designated.
- No product placement.
I write my genuine opinions to share my findings from life and I’m happy to have them challenged and potentially changed by a broader public.

Translations
- The original texts are written in English.
- Additional languages are contributed by translators, volunteers or paid.
Did you learn something from the blog and would like to make it accessible to your cohort? Volunteering a translation is a great way to give forward! Here’s how it works:
- Time: expect to spend ~1 hour for each 500 words (find the word count in the article’s header). Only a high-quality translation will bring something to the people you want to reach with your effort.
- Tools: DeepL is a great starting point. Many professional translators run the text through it, and adjust the result thereafter.
- Process: Pick the article you want to translate, and contact me about it. After you translated it, I’ll publish it with a header which credits it to you. I setup an email address
translations-lang@apprenticecitizen.com
which privately forwards any rare translation-related feedback from readers to an email address of your choosing.
